The consultancy assessed the role of diaspora actors in localisation efforts within the Grand Bargain framework. It investigated whether key signatories have considered or utilised diaspora actors to address localisation challenges and identify barriers preventing their inclusion. The consultancy also explored the contributions of diaspora actors in strengthening local humanitarian responses and supporting civil society organisations.
By engaging with key stakeholders from the aid localisation ecosystem, including donors, INGOs, local CSOs, and diaspora organisations, the consultancy sought to influence global humanitarian strategies by promoting greater recognition and integration of diaspora actors in localisation processes.
