The purpose of this short consultancy was to conduct a comprehensive mapping of the Lebanese
diaspora’s humanitarian response following Israel’s offensive in Lebanon, which began in September
2024.
The mapping assessed the global mobilisation of the Lebanese diaspora in response to the
humanitarian crisis in Lebanon and their support for local actors. It focused on gathering information
about diaspora organizations, whether formal or informal, including those recently established in
response to the current crisis, as well as any existing diaspora networks or coordination mechanisms
involved in humanitarian efforts in Lebanon.
This mapping was relying on a mixed approach with both systematic searches online and Key
Informant Interviews in major countries of Lebanese emigration.
