This consultancy aimed to map the Lebanese diaspora’s humanitarian response following Israel’s offensive in Lebanon, which began in September 2024.

The study assessed global diaspora mobilisation and their support for local actors in Lebanon. It focused on gathering information about diaspora organisations, whether formal or informal, including those recently established in response to the current crisis, as well as any existing diaspora networks or coordination mechanisms involved in humanitarian efforts in Lebanon.

This mapping relied on a mixed approach with both systematic online searches and key informant interviews with diaspora actors in major Lebanese emigration countries. The findings provided a comprehensive overview of diaspora engagement, informing strategies to strengthen collaboration between diaspora organisations and local humanitarian actors.
